Central to SAP’s architecture is the harmonisation of data across multiple silo’ed functions.
Building on this, SAP is repositioning from being an ERP vendor to a cloud-enabled, organisational operating platform. To deliver this SAP is driving:
- on-premise and hybrid deployments to cloud-native implementations
- replacing perpetual licensing agreements with subscription based pricing
- transitioning from batch-based processing to real-time, streaming data
- extending AI process automation
SAP’s objective is the standardisation of process logic and decoupling system behaviour
from system hardware delivered via SAP S/4 HANA.
